A tribute to MOM

Older women teach the younger women to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives... Titus 2

A recent letter from Focus on the Family shared a poem written by a young girl that started out.....When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another..... and it made me think of a few of my own "When you thought I wasn't lookings..."
When you thought I wasn't looking, you made time to hear my stories, and I knew that I mattered
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you show hospitality, and I knew that kindness mattered
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take in the homeless, and I knew that all people mattered
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you support dad, and I knew that marriage mattered
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you turn the other cheek, and I knew that forgiveness mattered
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you enjoy the little things, and I knew that moment's mattered

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you be a mom, and I knew that Motherhood mattered
When you thought I wasn't Looking, I looked..... and I want to say Thank you for all the things you taught me when you thought I wasn't looking

Happy Mothers Day MOM
I love you dearly,  Amyette

Soaring!

READY....
SET...

JUMP!

just a chat....

Loved these pictures! Such an indicator of Kacey's 5th grade year! She has endless fun stories to tell!

Thank you to Uncle Josh for being such an intent listener
on the same weekend outing I caught these two having a chat too and it was quite cute - they were lost in their own little world - notice Breck is supposedly fishing but thankfully he's paying more attention to Alyssa than his pole! He'll make a good husband some day :)

And it's back to school we go....

Today as we  launched another school year it reminds me of how time moves ever so quickly and soon these little cherubs of mine will not just be launching into another year of school but into their own personal adventures that take them beyond our front doorsteps.
Kacey began 5th grade with an excited anticipation!
Breck at this photo op was feeling optimistic and ready but that seemed to fade the closer we got to school. He went from Kacey lets walk ourselves in because we have each other this year to..... No Mom we'll do that tomorrow can you walk us in today.  To my dismay I had to walk away as he cried and Mrs. Lubritz was left to encourage and console him.
Both of them are excited to be together in the same school this year and even on the same hall.  We are thanking God for these extra special blessings.
because it's a big day for mom too I even made the back to school pictures!
Our verse that we memorized for this week was
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you?
Be Strong and Courageous
Do not be afraid, Do not be discouraged
For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go!
Thanking Him for His promises as we begin this new adventure and thankful He leads us on this Journey and we don't ever have to do it alone.

Last day of school

SATURDAY, June 4th - a day to CELEBRATE!

the kids are excited....

The driver is excited...
And to end the day we will celebrate with Family at the Monster Truck Rally

Arthur, Isiah, Breck and Alyssa took their own ride in this monster jeep

And our Favorites were...

The Barbarian

the Bug

the Mustang - which almost won the tuff trux portion of the races

The Brute Force.....

and his daring jump that ended in a crash!

Poor guy has a lot of damage to repair but he was the highlight of our evening!
 It was LOUD

missy didn't like the LOUD noise - she said it made her heart hurt - she would have preferred to go home but stuck it out for the better good of all who had come with us.

It was Hot
It was an Arkansas Fun Event enjoyed by all...even if we didn't have tatoos!

But these two handsome fellows probably loved it the most!
