The Rose

Nina... this first song is dedicated to you and fond memories of singing this on numerous occasions! Love you lots!

Lunch Tray or Lunch box???

A regular routine in our household each morning is to read the school menu and then I ask Breck if he wants a Lunch box or Tray. As a mom I think he's choosing based on the food selection. However today this question that has been asked over a hundered times stirred a conversation in my little ones that quite humored me to their reasoning behind their choices.

Breck usually chooses a tray because he does not have to clean up any trash! It's not really about the social life or the food selection but rather what's easiest!
Kacey ALWAYS chooses a lunch box because
1. that way she gets to sit by Madison (all lunch boxes sit in one area together)
2. the milk is gross
3. and usually the food is too!
How do you choose what you eat for lunch each day?!

Spring Time

Too Cute... he is being thankful for the sunshine!
Just thought this was cute of Kacey so I had to share it!
They decided they wanted to do a lemonade stand and I had a busy day so this is the only picture I got which I took from my kitchen window! Ugh! Too busy for pictures - that is a sad day. But we thought these neighbors might be their first and last customer because our neighborhood is way too quiet for selling lemonde. Needless to say Kacey stuck with it and sold to the neighbors, the tree man, two girls riding scooters and some "creepy" teenagers who stopped and backed up, got out of the car to come buy and she was getting nervous! She did not know her dad was watching her but they gave her a dollar for two 10 cent drinks and told her to keep the change! It was worth all the anxiety she was feeling! She thought they were creepy because of their hair styles and one wore his hat backwards! - Those few sales did take her ALL afternoon though. She was a patient sales girl!

We are all thankful for the spring like weather and hope it returns soon!

Finally Pictures from spring break

Well it's almost two weeks after our spring break vacation and I'm finally posting pictures. We had so much fun. The kids graduated from ski school and got to ski with us which was a treat - although we ended up skiing in blizzard like conditions!
Kacey and Breck are pumped and ready to go!

Now they are worn out and ready for hot chocolate and a nap!
It was a fun week with Jeff's sisters and their families.
It was fun for the kids to play with their cousins!
Breck seemed to keep Jessica entertained or vice versa!
On this particular day he did his own hair - a tad wild to match his personality!
Prior to going to Breckenridge we went to visit mom and a favorite pasttime while at Grammy's house is to paint! we all became budding artists that day. I even painted a picture of a deer and hung it in dad's bathroom with Katy's artwork :)

Thanks Mom for the fun - we so enjoyed our time with you!

We went on a hike with mom and the kids decided to climb up this mountain side but as you can see it became a mud slide. Jeff was with them and thought it was cool and told Breck who was hanging on to a branch that it looked like lava. Breck said "stop worrying about the mud and worry about me!" Kacey made her way across the hillside and Breck skated down on his feet.

They were a muddy mess - but all smiles. Meanwhile mom and I had climbed to the top and wondered what was taking them so long so had to hike back down to find them. It was tad nervewracking for a moment because they wouldn't answer our calls and we couldn't find them but they had gone to the creek to wash their hands off.
A very fun vacation and we thank everyone we got to share it with for such a fun time!
Family is a true blessing!
