Day One......of the 2010-2011 school year

It's time for another school year to begin -- my kids are growing up way too quickly.
Sweetest things I've ever seen!
In route to school --- taking our butterflies with us!
CANNOT believe my son chose an OU backpack. Those Wright Boys have brainwashed him! Tucked inside the backpack is a starwars lunch box - Football and starwars seem to be his latest favorites. Isaiah said that he and his dad have even brainwashed Kristi so much she is no longer a Bronco Fan! Now something is Wrong with that :)
Posed and beautiful. My precious girl is growing up. When we did her hair this morning she said  "I'm getting tall... I didn't ever want to be tall"
They both came home saying they liked their teachers. Breck announced when getting in the car it was the Best Day Ever and that his favorite part was his teacher!
As a mom I am always so happy when they climb into the car at the end of the day and I can hear all their stories and allow my butterflies to settle as well.
Looking forward to another year of life lessons. School teaches us all so much more than just book knowledge.

Rocky Mountain High - Colorado!

John Denver Memorial
This was so fun to go see. They have created an area in Aspen with these large rocks and they have a number of his songs enscripted on them.

Another fun outing with dad and mom.  I was so spoiled this summer to get to go meet them for a weekend extravaganza!

Hiking the Marroon Bells in Aspen

This was a fun hike in Aspen that we took with mom and Dad. For some reason I cannot get the pictures to go in order so enjoy them at random! This post is typical of this day - we had to adjust our sails to the unexpected weather changes of the day.

After we ate up all our cherries from lunch we created a rain bonnet for Kacey to keep her head dry!

We had to lighten dads load in the cooler he was carrying! so we all had to eat watermelon. Even dad and I whom would really prefer to not eat it. Reminded me of our trip to California when we had to eat the cantelope but we were not so furtunate this time to get to toss it down the river!

on our hike back down as the clouds were beginning to lift
Here we are posing before our hike - praying the rain away
Guess God knew this gorgeous land needed watered on
this particular day! but as we hiked back down to the bottom the sun came
out and it was BEAUTIFUL!

Here we are taking cover under a pine tree to enjoy our picnic lunch

Thanks mom and dad for a very fun day with you. Some day we'll go back and make it all the way to Crater Lake

39 1/2 and holding!

Celebrating 40 years of living!! This summer I was given the gift of time with my family as they all joined us in Breckenridge to celebrate my 40th birthday. This was such a fun day. It begain with Breakfast on the patio with my handsome husband whom I adore. We ate delicious wheat free pancakes with raspberries and blackberries!. I was given a crown and bell to ring when ever I needed something throughout the day.

The guest list consisted of all my favorite people!
These adorable little guests made the day.
My nephew Taylor is here too but he was the photographer at the moment so missed the picture

Also on the guest list was the "outlaws" but they were on their best behavior this day
And last but not least -- the best of them all - the Originals in my life - You make my world a whole lot Brighter!. It is with this precious group of guests that I began my life with and have enjoyed sharing every moment of my 40 years with.

Many memories were shared through out the day, from pictures of my life, a DVD movie and little skits that mom directed from different stages of my life.............

Katy made a precious DVD of different aspects of my life that made us all laugh and cry!

Below are a few clips of my life being re-inacted by these red carpet actors/actresses!
Director: no one other than (drum roll please.....) My Mom, Tricia Rose Nay
My siblings - so sad (ha!) as I left for college. Kristi took over my room before I'd even left town

Here is Jeff and I off to meet Danina and Worley when we were first dating and me giving Jeff all the ins/outs of the Kennedy household Rules - Like don't hug the couch pillows. Too bad he forgot that rule - Or maybe too bad he forgot to zip his fly!
Jeff asking dad if he could have my hand in marriage - took a long walk before he got up the courage
y wedding day! One of my most favorite days of my 40 years....... and then the years passed leaving many to believe we were not going to have children but much to their surprise along came Kacey and then Breck. Jackson was such a trooper as he had to be born twice and be dressed up as girl!
